Body found in York – Two men arrested

Police have arrested two men after the discovery of a man’s body at a house in York.

Paramedics called police after a man was found dead in the property on Markham Crescent in the Groves on Tuesday evening.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The circumstances of the man’s death are currently under investigation.

“A 34-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were arrested in connection with this incident and subsequently released under investigation whilst inquiries continue.”

A police van is still in place outside the house this evening.
