BMW driver and moped rider have ‘altercation’ after York collision

Two motorists had a barney after a collision – and police need witnesses.

The accident happened on Tadcaster Road opposite the junction of Chalfonts at 9am on Thursday (January 11). It involved a moped and a Black BMW 3 series estate.

Both vehicles were travelling out of the city towards York College. The moped collided with the rear of the BMW.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:

Following the collision, there was an altercation between the driver and rider.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Witnesses are urged to come forward to the police.
