Police have clocked a biker reaching a speed of 144mph on a notorious stretch of road north of York.
The motorbike was clocked at they eye-watering speed on the A19 near Easingwold.
It is a 60mph zone.
The North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau said this stretch of the A19 was “where there have been a number of collisions resulting in death or serious injury”.
The biker was pulled over by police and their details taken.
“They were also found to be uninsured and so the vehicle was seized at the roadside,” the police said.
“This will now be dealt with via the court process.”
