A bike was set on fire in a York field last night (Wednesday).
Firefighters from Acomb were called to the incident near Water Lane at 8.07pm.
They found the pushbike alight. “This resulted in damage to the bike and a small area of grass,” a North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“Crew used a knapsack sprayer. The cause is believed to be deliberate.”
