Barcode the cat saved from tree by York firefighters

There was high drama in Tang Hall last night, when Barcode the cat got stuck up a tree.

The cat would not come down from his branch on Constantine Avenue, York.

So at 8.14pm the owners called in the fire brigade.

They enticed the black and white tabby down “by use of ladders, lighting and beef and carrot cat food.”

He was then “handed over to the care of grateful owners”.
