Firefighters have taken action following a smell of gas close to a main road in York.
A crew from York fire station were called to the Wiggington Road area at 10.07am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The York crew responded after a passer-by smelled gas in the area.
“Crews created a safe area using cordon tape and handed the incident over to a gas engineer.”
