Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the A64 near York have renewed their appeal for witnesses.
Marzena Dajlanaj, aged 30, was killed when her black Toyota Celica came off the westbound carriageway, near Bilbrough Top, and overturned in a ditch.
Following extensive enquiries into the incident, officers now believe that the collision occurred sometime between 12.45am and 1.15am on Monday 17 December 2012.
Traffic Sergeant Paul Cording, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said: “We now believe that this collision occurred in the early hours of Monday morning and I am appealing to anyone who was travelling along the A64 between 12.45am and 1.15am to come forward as soon as possible.
“There may not have been many vehicles around at that time but if were travelling to or from York on the morning in question, please get in touch as you may have information vital to our enquiries.”

Woman pronounced dead in A64 collision – Appeal for witnesses

Police investigating a serious road traffic collision on the A64 near York can confirm that the driver of the vehicle involved, a 30-year-old woman, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
Officers, who are still conducting investigations at the scene of the collision, are appealing to any witnesses to get in touch as soon as possible.
The westbound carriageway of the A64 remains closed at this time.

Serious A64 collision – appeal for witnesses
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A64 near York.
Officers were alerted at around 7.50am on Monday 17 December 2012 after a black car left the westbound carriageway at Bilborough and landed in a ditch.
It is believed that the woman driving the vehicle has been seriously injured in the collision.
Both lanes of the westbound carriageway are currently closed while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The A1237 is also closed to prevent vehicles trying the access the carriageway.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them with information as soon as possible.
