Nine apartments have already been sold “off plan” with the first residents taking up occupation.

One new St John’s Mews resident is Pam Samuel, who said: “First of all, I liked the fact that St John’s Mews was not a multi-storey building.

“Also, the location mattered greatly as I wanted to be within walking distance of the city centre.

“I am very happy with my decision to move here.  Everyone connected with the building and sale of my apartment has been helpful, friendly and accommodating.”

Paul Brown, director of Caedmon Homes, said: “It is very heart-warming to hear Pam’s comments.

“Overall, we have been absolutely delighted with the continuing level of interest and sales rate at St John’s Mews, which are a resounding endorsement of our development.””

The two bedroom properties range from £275,000 to £360,000, the two bedroom duplex properties with balconies are available at £360,000 and the three bedroom properties from £415,000 to £450,000.  Secure car parking is available.

Mr Brown added: “The affordability of the homes is a very important element of this project and, with the Government’s Help to Buy initiative, we have seen that a number of young professionals are able to become home-owners for the first time.”

Anne Haggas, Associate Director at Savills, commented: “We have had some tremendously positive reactions to the development with its location, its views – with York Minster as a backdrop – and the tranquil community feel of the neighbourhood. It has been a pleasure to offer these properties to our very discerning residents.”

A show apartment is available to view through selling agents Savills.  Please contact Anne Haggas on 01904 617832 to make an appointment.
