Calling all Star Wars fans! This new convention coming to York is for you.
Prepare to get one with the force as this ‘immersive experience’ comes to York – and with guest appearances, a galaxy of Star Wars merchandise, and fan-led events to expect, it’s perfect for any Star Wars fans.
The Festival of the Force is coming to York Railway Institute on Sunday 25 May 2025.
More is yet to be announced about this special event, but already fans can expect plenty of photo opportunities – take your picture with Darth Vader! – and panel events.
The panels, according to the event website, could include ‘live performances, including dramatic reenactments, stunt demonstrations, and music from the iconic adventures’.
There will also be guest appearances, and the first guest to be announced is actor Guy Henry, known for embodying Grand Moff Tarkin in Rogue One.
Cosplaying is also encouraged at the event. The list of exhibitors is yet to be announced but applications for an artist or dealer stand are open.
Early bird tickets are £10 and general admission tickets are £20.
