Director of Ardent Mark Fisher with the Chartered certificate

A leading York finance firm has just taken another big step forward.

Independent financial planners Ardent are proud to have been awarded Chartered status from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Being Chartered signifies that as an organisation they are committed to:

  • The highest levels of technical and professional knowledge and competence through professional qualifications
  • Keeping knowledge and skills up-to-date through continuing professional development
  • Ethical conduct through adhering to an industry Code of Ethics enforced through disciplinary sanctions.

‘A leading team’

“Being chartered means the team are now recognised for their competence, knowledge and ethical behaviour, as these are precisely the qualities embodied by ‘Chartered’ status,” said MD of Ardent Gary O’Brien.

Ardent, based on Clifton, began life in 2006 with a vision to to help people to design, plan and deliver the future they wanted.

Company director Mark Fisher added:

  • Achieving Chartered status means we are now formally recognised as a leading team of financial advisors and planners in York.

It also emphasises the fact that our core values and business practices align with the CII Code of Ethics, which is an integral part of the daily running of Ardent.
