South Bank Studios annual Winter Fair is back with record high numbers.
The event is an opportunity to meet and support local artists, makers, and crafts people, whilst getting your Christmas shopping done.
With over 40 local creatives participating for 2024, it’s the most involvement the fair has ever seen.
The unique shopping experience will take place on Saturday 23 November, from 10am – 4:30pm, at South Bank Studios on Bishopthorpe Road.
It will be opened by the Lord Mayor of York, and is free to enter.
Creative festive workshops will also be taking place during the day, including Wreath making with Emma Cooper and Willow Weaving with Heather.
There will also be an Art Exhibition showcase, and a variety of refreshments available at the onsite cafe.
The Winter Fair will be raising money for two worthy causes, The Alzheimer’s Society and Southlands Methodist Church.
Some of the creatives involved in this year’s event include textile artists, printmakers, ceramicists, painters, glass artists, artisan chocolate makers, gifts for children, eco gifts makers, jewellers, photographers.
A wide range of work will be available to purchase, from affordable stocking fillers to special gifts like original paintings.
Resident South Bank Studios artist Katie Hill said, “the Winter Fair is always a highlight of our year at South Bank Studios, it’s a great community event.”
