A man spouted racist abuse through a speaker in Whitby this weekend – and police hope someone has caught him on camera.
Officers are conducting a hate crime investigation, and want anyone who has information as to the identify of the man, or who witnessed or filmed the incident, to get in touch.
It happened on Church Street between 1pm and 3pm yesterday (Sunday).
Incident location
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It involved a man using a microphone to shout racially and religiously motivated abuse.
“We’re particularly appealing for further information from any member of the public present at the time who may have been impacted by this and for anyone with any mobile phone video or CCTV footage of the incident.”
