Where can you go to eat and drink outdoors in York that’s warm and dry? Good question!
As York continues to remain in Tier 2 restrictions, it means that mixing of households indoors is not allowed. However, you can meet friends and family you don’t live with in outdoor spaces – in no more than groups of six, with social distancing in place.
So beer gardens and outdoor spaces are the way to meet.
Since the days and evenings are starting to get colder now, we’ve put together a guide to all the pubs, restaurants and cafes in the city and beyond with cosy, heated and sheltered spaces outdoors.
Many establishments around York are adapting to the pandemic restrictions and allowing loved ones to still meet up safely.
Lots of these came as recommendations from our lovely readers – so thanks!
In these uncertain times it’s best to double check with the venue before venturing out for all their latest safety guidelines and opening times.
