Charity Beer Festival
All hail the ale this weekend at the York brewery tap room’s charity beer festival. A selection of over 20 award winning championship real ales, perries and ciders will be on offer this Friday night, 17:00-23:00 and Saturday afternoon 12:00-23:00. Entry is only £6 which includes two free drinks so come along to bag yourself a beer bargain – more here.

Fossgate Festival

Visit independent shops, cafes and bars as well as dance to live music on Fossgate, the much loved street, to experience city life in a brand new way. Fossgate is one of York’s oldest streets and full of charming character. The festival is family friendly and aims to create a continental street atmosphere. Yorkshire Family History Fair

One of the largest family history shows in the UK is coming to the Knavesmire Exhibition centre at the Racecourse this Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 and 16:30.
