It’s not every day that New Earswick Folk Hall hosts a world record attempt. Members of the Quilling Guild will gather there on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm to display more than 6,000 paper flowers, assembled for the world record attempt. For the unitiated, quilling is the art of manipulating narrow strips of paper and shaping them to create exquisite, intricate designs.
