Small Business Saturday Market

Forget Black Friday or Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday is far more important. It gives us all a chance to shop local, support city businesses, and buy unique, sustainable Christmas pressies at the same time. The Great Gatsby

UK Snooker final weekend
It’s been another eventful UK Snooker Championships at the Barbican, with big names going out after stroppy press conferences and amazing moments like Thepchaiya Un-Nooh missing an easy black when he was on for a maximum 147 break and £44K in prize money (above). Yorkshire Bach Choir

Yorkshire Bach Choir present Haydn’s choral masterpiece The Creation at the Jack Lyons Concert Hall. First heard in 1798 it has never lost its power to move, and is one of the many highlights of this year’s York Early Music Christmas Festival 2015. Saturday at 7.30pm – more here.
