Firefighters were called to a car in flames late last night (Friday).
Crews from Huntington went to the incident in Earswick at 11pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire was extinguished using one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet. The cause was accidental due to a believed electrical fault.”
